The Taste of Mooresville started as a suggestion from Kari Mann as a small scale fundraising event for the Mooresville Kiwanis Club. The idea being that Kiwanis would invite some of the local restaurants to show off their signature dishes. We also invited local businesses to sponsor the event and Kiwanis would sell the tickets and have a silent auction. Never, in our wildest dreams did we think the event would be such a success. The community and local businesses responded and the rest is history. In the last two years we have raised over twenty thousand dollars and hope to raise just as much in 2007 for our 3rd annual event.
