2009 5TH ANNUALTASTE OF MOORESVILLE

One location. Several great local restaurants. The 5th Annual Taste of Mooresville, presented by the Mooresville Kiwanis Club, was held at the Jones Crossing Banquet Center, located at State Road 67 and Allison Road, Thursday, October 8th, 2009.

Over a dozen Mooresville-area restaurants served sample dishes from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Proceeds from this event benefited two non-for-profits, the Jackson Center for Conductive Education, and Riley Hospital for Children. One-third of the proceeds went to each beneficiary and the remaining proceeds went to the Mooresville Kiwanis Club Community Fund, from which donations are made throughout the year to various groups and individuals in the community.

2008's event attracted more than 700 people and raised over $15,000 for local beneficiaries. Limited number of tickets are available for the event, so be sure to purchase them early. Also at the event, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction. Tickets are available in advance at all Citizen's Bank locations, all Home Bank locations and Lincoln Bank in Mooresville. For more information, contact Kari Mann at 831-9621 or email Kari Mann.
